How Members Use RiverVail Ranch

How Individual Members Enjoy the Preserve

Opening Day of Pheasant Season

Every September 22, the property opens for pheasant hunting. As a member, you hunt every day the preserve is open without paying daily slot fees. Bring a friend, grab your dog, and start your season right on one of New England’s premier bird hunting preserves.

Family Fly Fishing Weekends

Spend a weekend at RiverVail Ranch with your family. The kids wade in Clear Stream catching and releasing brook trout while you work the deep pools with your fly rod. Stay at the Damm House Inn and enjoy the kind of disconnected, nature-focused weekend that is increasingly hard to find.

Off-Season Dog Training

Most hunting clubs shut down between seasons. Your RiverVail Ranch membership does not. Access the property year-round to work your bird dogs on birds and in the ponds. No other club in the region offers this combination of access and value.

Winter Recreation

When the hunting season closes, the trails open for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. Members enjoy the full property year-round. Bring your family for a winter day on the trails, stop in at the Roost Clubhouse, and enjoy 1,000 acres to yourselves.

Tower Shoot Events

Purchase a slot in one of RiverVail Ranch’s pheasant tower shoots at a 10% member discount. These events are among the most popular offerings on the property — 12 stations, 24 hunters, 300 birds, and a hearty lunch at the clubhouse. Memorable for groups and individual members alike.
