Hiking, Biking, Skiing and Snowshoe Trails
Trails and Day Passes at RiverVail Ranch
RiverVail Ranch offers over 15 miles of trails winding through 1,000 acres of northern New Hampshire wilderness. The property changes with every season — lush pastures and hedgerows in summer, brilliant foliage in fall, and groomed cross-country ski and snowshoe routes in winter. A single day trail pass gives you access to all of it.
This is not a manicured park. It is a working nature preserve where bison, elk, and red stag roam freely, wildlife is abundant, and the landscape is as authentic as New England gets. Come ready to explore.

Fall: Foliage and the Heart of the Season

Fall trail access overlaps with hunting season — non-hunting trail visitors are welcome and should stay on designated trail routes. Wearing bright colors during hunting season is always a smart precaution.
Winter: Cross-Country Skiing and Snowshoeing
RiverVail Ranch grooms its trail network each winter, creating quiet, snow-covered routes past the bison pastures and through the woodlands. The property also offers direct snowmobile trail access on Corridor 18, and Sunday River Resort for downhill skiing is approximately 45 minutes away.
